The Daily News, among other publications are reporting some pretty interesting news...
"The Yankees announced Saturday that Nick Swisher is working out at the team facility in Tampa in anticipation of signing a minor-league deal with the team.
General manager Brian Cashman said the plan is for Swisher to report to Triple-A.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after he passes a physical. There is no guarantee that Swisher will be added to the major-league roster at any point, but a source said the contract would include a June 15 opt-out if he is still at Triple-A."
Here's the thing, the deal is now done.
Moreover, this makes perfect sense considering we need a back up first baseman and alittle extra pop with the bat. If he proves he can help, or if Mark Teixeira gets hurt, we will see Nick Swisher back in the Bronx.Yankees sign Nick Swisher to a minor league deal.— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) April 9, 2016
