The Associated Press is reporting (HERE) that today Mark Teixeira was in New York to have his wrist checked out and if all goes well, he will be cleared to swing a bat.
As the story goes, Tex said Thursday night: "I'm confident the doctor will let me take swings tomorrow... I feel great and I'm getting better every day. There's no pain. I could not be happier with the progress. The plan is to take BP for a week -- it could make my wrist sore as part of the process -- but that is a definite milestone."
All is good. We all know that Curtis Granderson (HERE) and Derek Jeter (HERE) are both on their way back, so the addition of Tex will be great!
