YANKEE RUMORS & BYB: PART 20

Mark Buehrle: There are 14 teams in on Mark Buehrle, with three of those teams offering three-year deals, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Read HERE. He doesn't specify the teams interested, but Ken Rosenthal says that the Rangers, Nationals, and Marlins are the "most aggresive" for Buehrle's services. Read that right HERE. Jon Heyman also reports that Buehrle will want $14 million anually, read HERE for more.

Casey has made it known for awhile that he loves Buehrle, read WHY BUEHRLE WILL MAKE THE YANKEES BETTER. I'm not so sure if Buehrle will be a Yankee, as Cashman hasn't been too keen on this situation. But who knows, maybe he could pull a rabbit out of his hat when we least expect it.Hiroki Kuroda: Remember when it was the Dodgers or Japan for Kuroda? Well, that's not the case anymore with LA signing Chris Capuano. Kuroda's options are now wide open, read HERE. Also, Buster Olney reports that Kuroda wants $12-$13 milion a year, read HERE.

The Yankees have to be interested in Kuroda, right? They were last July, but the Dodgers wanted Ivan Nova and another prospect in return.
Yu Darvish: One of these days Darvish-mania will be in full force. As of now, we don't know exactly when that'll be. Originally, Ken Rosenthal said that Darvish could get posted after the Winter Meetings wrap up, but now Darvish's father said that his son could get posted by mid-late January. Read the inside scoop right HERE.

If Darvish gets posted in mid-late January, I'm not so sure if the Yankees will win the bidding and sign him, as you'd think they want their starting pitching situation to be set up by then. I'm sure we'll get a better clue after the Winter Meetings.Manny Ramirez: Manny Ramirez has filed for reinstatement, and will serve a 50-game suspension instead of the 100-game suspension players serve when testing positive for a banned substance for a second time. But let me get this out of the way before anyone even thinks otherwise, Manny WILL NOT become a Yankee. Buster Olney agrees as well, as the Yankees--among many other AL teams--don't have interest. Read HERE.

Manny is simply not a fit on the Yankees. One reason being Jesus Montero getting a lot of DH at bats, while Derek Jeter and ARod getting some DH time as well. Also, it would be a huge black eye on the Yankees if this clown got suspended for the third time using banned substances. There's no doubt in my mind that the Yankees want no part of that.

Now that that's out of the way, be sure to check in with BYB Yankee rumors during the Winter Meetings and the rest of the off-season.
