YANKEE RUMORS & BYB: PART 13

CJ Wilson: As predicted at Bleeding Yankee Blue, the Yankees do not seem interested in Wilson at all and the contract he and his agent are looking for is ridiculous… 6 years, $120 Million is way too similar to that of Cliff Lee’s the year before, and Wilson is no Cliff Lee. I thought Lee’s was high, but whatever. The point Wilson chose 6/$120 is so a team that’s interested can low ball him and then they'll meet in the middle. There is no way Wilson actually believes he will get that money and if he does, that’s crazy. As far as BYB’s prediction, read WHY THE YANKEES WILL HESITATE WITH CJ WILSON from weeks ago.

Gio Gonzalez: Ironically, Bleeding Yankee Blue spoke of Gio weeks ago too, (Read WOULD YOU TRADE FOR GIO GONZALEZ? and GIO GONZALEZ: MAKING OF A YANKEE SUPERSTAR) only to be ignored by the “real” blogs. Suddenly, today, Josh Schermerhorn writes a piece on Gio… surprise, surprise. Gio’s a great trade choice, I've always have said so and having him in the Yankees rotation in my estimation would be a great thing... and to think, we said it early on. Our loyal fans know, and we appreciate it.

Matt Garza: Joel Sherman says that the Yankees have looked into Mr. Garza (HERE) and couple that with Yankee Fans Unite who puts together a great piece asking the question CASHMAN AND THEO TO TRADE? Hey… maybe guys, we need to see if this rumor comes to light. Sherman says a Cub official is trying to downplay it, but it’s the off-season, no one is untouchable.

John Danks: Do not leave Danks off the list. Grant Cederquist floated this name for BYB weeks ago in Part 5 of our YANKEE RUMORS & BYB Series and according to Joel Sherman, the Yankees are interested and the White Sox may be interested in Austin Romine. Personally, I would like to get a pitcher alittle different from Danks, but Danks definitely works as a starter in our rotation, for sure.

Keep it right here at Bleeding Yankee Blue for Yankee rumors all weekend.
