ISIAH KINER-FALEFA IN THE OUTFIELD? IT ACTUALLY MAKES A TON OF SENSE

Bryan Hoch is running with this great story all day on Twitter and I have to say, I love this idea.  Isiah Kiner-Falefa has been manning the outfield in Spring Training and practicing with Nick Swisher.

Now, before you get all butt hurt, you need to think about how smart this is. First off. here is the first Hoch tweet I saw about this:

Then of course there is the terrific Hoch video to accompany his previous tweet.

Now all we need is Penny Hoch to give me a really exciting play by play on how she thinks this is amazing and I will fully commit to IKF in the outfield!

But seriously, what we have learned in Spring Training is the following;

Anthony Volpe and Oswald Peraza are solid in the infield. Couple that with DJ being back, the fact that Josh Donaldson is probably going nowhere, Anthony Rizzo is our first baseman and Gleyber Torres is still hanging around, there is perhaps no real need for IKF in the infield... if not now, later when Volpe actually makes the squad. (I actually don't see him on the opening day roster, but that is my opinion.)

And then we need to look at the outfield. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are obviously in the outfield club, Oswaldo Cabrera can handle it, but it really isn't his spot. Bader is hurt temporarily and Aaron Hicks can't catch, as I Instagrammed yesterday.

And so now we see a guy like IKF that if he can take to the outfield, will be good for us out there. Not a starter per say, but a filler and extra guy... a solid utility.

So what do you think... can this work?
