I think we all are. I sill have to remind myself that he just turned 20 years old! He's the youngest player at camp and if he keeps playing the way he is and moving quickly through the minor league ranks it won't be too long until he's a big leaguer. Sunday, he got one small step closer, but man was it fun to watch.
Dominguez made the ninth inning exciting yesterday by smashing a go-ahead three-run homer as part of an eight-run inning that helped the Yankees come from behind in their 10-6 win over the Braves. That was his second home run this spring and he continues to mash with a .471 BA, 4 RBI's, two walks and a stolen base. He's heating up at the right time.
Dominguez should start the season out at Double-A, he played in five games their after promoting at the end of the 2022 season but there is already a lot of buzz about his progress. Even Aaron Boone had a lot to say about him, you can read more HERE but Boone likes what he sees and Dominguez just likes the opportunity.
He sounds like a big leaguer already. I have been on Anthony Volpe and Oswaldo Cabrera watch all spring, but he's quickly reminding us all that's he's coming and faster than we probably think. He won't be in the Bronx come April, but he's not too far behind.
