Not sure if you follow the Utica Unicorns. I do. I do because our BYB buddy Ty Hensley plays for them.
If you know anything about Ty... you know struggle, challenge and perseverance. Now on to the incredible news about this kid. He's come all the way back in his baseball career, helping his Unicorns to victory when they needed him most, but not only that... he's continuing to face challenges head on to improve himself too! I am proud of this kid, for his journey was not easy. But that's what dreamers are faced with every day. Ty's a dreamer... Ty will succeed because believes he will.
Last night the Unicorns beat the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers to advance to the championship! Much of it had to do with Ty Hensley!
USPBL writes:
"Right-handed pitcher Ty Hensley tossed his first-ever complete game in professional baseball, scattering three runs and struck out three, while Kyle Orloff went 4-for-4 and drove in a run to lead the Utica Unicorns (28-22) over the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (24-25-2), 5-3, in the semifinals of the United Shore Professional Baseball League Playoffs on Saturday night in front of a lively crowd at Jimmy John’s Field....

And so you're asking... what comes next?
The championship. Next the Unicorns will face the Westside Woolly Mammoths who are 27-22 this season, a top seed. They anticipate it could be the largest crowd at Jimmy John's Field. The game will be on ESPN 3 at 1:05pm today!
Be there!
Go Ty... Go Unicorns! Grind!
