USA Today writes:
"Ichiro Suzuki, who may also become a future unanimous Hall of Famer, made his comeback attempt official Wednesday by signing a one-year, minor-league contract worth $750,000 if he makes the Seattle Mariners’ roster, an official with direct knowledge told USA TODAY Sports.
The official spoke on the condition of anonymity since the Mariners have yet to make the celebrated announcement.
Suzuki, 45, would be the centerpiece on the Mariners’ opening-day roster, which can be expanded to 28 players, when it opens the season in Japan against the Oakland A’s on March 20."
Just a great story and I have no doubt he can make it. We will see of course, but this guy can do anything.
Nice way to start my morning (Even though it came out yesterday.)
Happy Thursday.
