AROLDIS CHAPMAN WILL NOT FACE DOMESTIC CHARGES

Important note from the Sun Sentinel and we need to bring it to all of you now.

"Broward prosecutors will not be filing criminal charges against New York Yankees pitcher Aroldis Chapman, who was accused of firing shots in his Davie home during a domestic dispute with his girlfriend Oct. 30.

The Broward State Attorney's Office made its decision public Thursday afternoon.

'We are all pleased that the Davie Police Department and the Office of the State Attorney took the time to fully investigate the matter and have concluded that charges were not warranted,' said Chapman's lawyer, Paul Molle."

Will that change the minds of some that are skeptical of the man? Maybe, maybe not, but that's a personal opinion.  Let me state why.  In the world of domestic violence, be it actually happens or not, the legal system will make their ruling.  There are multiple pieces of information about this case that we do not know. Did his girlfriend lie? Maybe. Did he get angry? Maybe. Does he get angry alot? Did he actually strike the woman?   Did he actually fire the gun? Etc, etc.  Now he may still face disciplinary action, and we'll keep you in tune with that.  My point is, there's a lot of gray area here.

What's my point? I'm not dating Aroldis Chapman.  I do not know if the man has a violent streak.  He may, he may not.  He's also a ballplayer.  When that happens... headlines mount. Now he's a Yankee... the headlines mount more.

We here at BYB are in the baseball and Yankee business.  It would be foolish and irresponsible for us to not report this development in the Chapman case.  And so, now you have it.

I look forward to moving forward now... almost Spring Training and I'm looking forward to seeing Chapman in pinstripes.
