KEEP AN EYE ON EDWIN JACKSON...

 Why you ask? I'll tell you. The Yankees like him and something just happened.  Edwin Jackson was released by the Cubs.

Carrie Muskat of MLB.com just reported this:

Edwin Jackson officially released. #Cubs

As you know, the Yanks have been "kicking the tires" on Jackson for years.  There is no reason why they won't be calling his agent right now.  They could sign him cheap, he'd be a rental and they wouldn't be giving any prospects to do it.
