It's being reported everywhere, so it's fitting that Bleeding Yankee Blue bring it to you as well. We will soon see Derek Jeter again! This time on the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live! Nice.
According to Sporting News, "Former Yankees great Derek Jeter and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will represent the sports world when they return to the SNL stage...Jeter hosted the Dec. 1 2001 show, and did a surprisingly good job considering he rarely exuded any sort of personality in front of the media. His "Taco Hole" skit was one of the better performances of the night."
Look I just got finished tweeting that Yankee news was slow, and this falls into my lap. Thank God.
Yankees news is pretty slow... my goodness. #BYB

The bottom line is Jeter's performance will always be remembered as one of the better sports athletes on SNL. Plus, at the time, the dude was riding high already winning championships in 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000.He was literally the King of New York.
Bottom line, it will be great the see Jeet return to SNL and for all of us to get a glimpse of the Cap again. I can't wait.
