We wrote SCHERZER & "A 7 YEAR SCENARIO" IS HAPPENING... at about 11pm last night. Then I went to bed. I was tired... and I'm not the rumor guy. BYB are the reporter guys (and gals), and we left the chatter about Scherzer maybe landing a deal with the Nationals to the Heymans and Rosenthals of the world.
This morning... it happened. Max Scherzer dashes Detroit for the Washington Nationals. According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports:
Source: Scherzer seven-year deal with #Nationals will be for more than $180M.

And there you have it. Then Jon Morosi of FOX Sports then tweeted something very interesting...
#Nats prepared to trade starter if they sign Scherzer. Zimmermann most likely candidate but one source says Nats would listen on Strasburg.

Would the Yanks ever try to trade for youngster Stephen Strasburg?Wow... I'd like to see that.
And that leaves only one... James Shields.
