Thanks Frank!Michael Pineda is slated to pitch today. It was to be a 60-65 pitching session to Scranton Wilkes-Barre. We'll fill in our audience later on the results, but if all is well, according to Pete Caldera of the Bergen Record, there will be more to come:
"If all goes well, the right-hander will toss up to 80 pitches in his next outing – putting him in position to rejoin the Yankees rotation.
'You're starting to get pretty close,' Girardi said of Pineda's return from an upper-back strain."
I have often wondered if that upper back strain was from a real injury... or if he strained it trying to hide his pine tar in his uniform...
I kid, I kid.
I am looking forward to Pineda coming back.
