It's official, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports who just tweeted this:
Brian Roberts and Yankees have agreement for 1-year deal worth around $2 million plus incentives, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me.

Brian Roberts is a New York Yankee. You see the Tweet above, but it's a 1 year deal worth $2 million plus incentives. I hate being repetitive, but I like to have BYB's words on record. The replacement of just Roberts at second is not that appealing to me. What is appealing to me however is something that ESPN wrote about. Andrew Marchand wrote about a Roberts and Dean Anna scenario. I like where his head's at:
"... the Yankees may have to glue together the position in the short term. Roberts, 36, could be part of the equation as a buy-low candidate who may have some dividends.
Meanwhile, the Yankees like Dean Anna. He is the career minor leaguer the Yankees acquired in a little trade earlier this winter. He is a 27-year-old, left-handed hitting second baseman. Anna had an .892 OPS in the hitter-happy Pacific Coast League.
Anna's OPS shot up to .929 against righties, so it seems possible the Yankees could sign Roberts at a cheap rate and go into the year with the idea of a platoon. Anna would start against righties with Roberts in the lineup against lefties."

Everyone at BYB loves Dean Anna, the "Dean of Swing", he's got mad potential to be great in the Bronx. I hope the Yankees do this platoon move at second, it would be great to see a kid blossom in the position and it would give Brian Roberts alittle incentive to push himself too, plus teach this kid the ropes a bit.
Great idea Marchand, I like that. Welcome to the Bronx Brian Roberts!
