Kelly Johnson and the Yankees are about to sign a 1 year deal.
That comes from Joel Sherman of the New York Post who writes: "The Yankees are on the brink of signing Kelly Johnson to a one-year
contract for between $2.75 million and $3 million, The Post has learned. Johnson’s primary position in the majors has been second base. So, he provides some insurance if Robinson Cano does leave." The key word there is "IF". We hope Cano will stay.
If Cano stays and Johnson is on the team, according to Hardball Talk, "...ideally Johnson would be used in a super utility role in 2014." OK, I'll take that.
So it looks like the Yankees mean business... your move Robinson, your move.
