A MOMENT OF GENUINE EMOTION AT CHRISTMAS TIME
This post has to do with life. Sometimes it goes too fast. Sometimes, you need to think about others and realize that, you don't got it so bad.
I love this story... it's real.
Master Sgt Joseph Martel came home from Afghanistan and didn't tell his son. He dressed in the opposing football team's uniform, helmet on and the whole field was in on the surprise.
In between the 3rd and 4th quarter, the refs had representatives from both teams go out into the middle of the field for a quick conversation about sportsmanship. It was then that Martel took his helmet off and it was then that Martel's son Justin realized he was looking at his dad. That's when he lost it, and I lost it, and anyone who watches this video who has a heart lost it. It's raw emotion, and like I said... it's real.
No, this has nothing to do with the New York Yankees. It has to do with family. Think about your life and realize that in the hustle and running around, this kind of stuff is much more important.
I love this story and I've watched this video a dozen times over the past 24 hours. Trust me, it's worth it... that family is complete today. It's damn wonderful.
