CANO'S ASSAULT BEGINS; YANKS WIN 8-3

Ok, so it's Spring Training... it doesn't count, but if you really want to think about it, every game counts if you are in a contract year.  Robinson Cano knows that. He homered today and the Yanks beat the Atlanta Braves in Lake Buena Vista 8-3, read more HERE.

Robinson Cano and Mark Teixeira were mixed in with a bunch of others to make up the Yankees team today, but none of the regulars.  Zoilo Almonte homered today and David Phelps threw 2 scoreless innings and according to Twitter reports, looked damn good.  Francisco Cervelli was hitless.
It's great to see that the boys are back and now we can say that the first non-counting game is under our belt... and we won.  Baseball is back and tomorrow the game will be televised.  I'm looking forward to watching the boys tomorrow for sure.

Go Yanks...
