Campos went 5 innings in this one. He allowed one run—his first of the year—on a solo home run in the fourth inning. He gave up four hits as well, while striking out seven and walking one. Jose also threw two wild pitches, so that and the solo homer are certainly not bright spots in this outing. I guess you can say this is his “worst” start of the season based on his two previous starts, but even that would seem rather harsh. You can read the full box score of Campos’ outing and the rest of the River Dogs HERE.
Campos’ next outing will likely come on April 21 against the West Virginia Power (Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates). Be sure to check back here at BYB for the recap.
Season:
3 starts, 3-0, 16 IP, 0.56 ERA, 5 H, 18 K, 4 BB, 14/11 Groundout / Flyout
