WHY THE SUN SHINES BRIGHT ON THE YANKEES & BYB

You know George Steinbrenner field was rocking today. That's because not only did the Yankees play well and Michael Pineda only allow 1 run, Mikey Blue and his family did some play by play on Twitter and enjoyed the day at the park. Wow, there are quite a few Bleeding Yankee Blue readers down there in Tampa and Mikey said it was cool as hell. As always we love the support so thank you.

A couple highlights that you need to know about today's game against the Tigers. Again, Pineda did well, allowing only 1 run and 5 hits over 5 innings, but that's not all. Derek Jeter had a lead off home run. Mariano Rivera pitched 1 inning and looked great, according the Mikey. Also, Alex Rodriguez got hit today and had tests done and he's OK...Girardi said he'll play again on Tuesday night.

The coolest part of today was Mikey's interaction with David Robertson in the bullpen during the game. Mikey yelled down to DRob: "Bleeding Yankee Blue loves you man!" That was followed up with DRob responding, "Thanks! Hey, we got your shirts the other day!" Mikey called me right away to let me know that at least the shirts are getting out quickly and efficiently. We just want to make you guys happy. We already need to order more!(Photo Credit: Bleeding Yankee Blue)
Mikey's dad apparently was a mini-celebrity at the park as well today, wearing his Bleeding Yankee Blue shirt proudly around the park. Many asked, "How can I get one of those?" Well, If you need to know, I'll remind you... just look at our website, Look for Mikey's dad wearing it proudly above the PayPal button and click "Buy Now." You can't lose, we're getting positive feedback about the quality of the shirts and slick look. So buy one and thank you all for your support.

Final score today from Tampa is 1-1, the Yankees and Tigers tied today.
