WHY YU DARVISH WON'T POST

Jon Heyman believes that it will be a few more weeks until a decision is made on whether Yu will post or not, but speculation "more likely than not." Read Heyman HERE.

It is believed that that Nippon Ham Fighters would let Darvish leave if he requested to and there is talk around the water cooler is Yu Darvish probably won't post because he's going through a divorce and his wife will walk any with earnings from whatever MLB deal he makes. I'm not getting involved in that, that's his business, it's personal. I first read about the divorce HERE.

But this is all getting alittle crazy isn't it? One thing I believe to be true is there is no way in hell the Yankees are just sitting with all their eggs in the Darvish basket waiting to see if Yu posts or not. That's why Cashman has met with all the free agents. Yu Darvish is a Japanese pitcher and I don't see them doing what they did with Cliff Lee... Cliff Lee was a sure thing in Major League Baseball, Yu is a Japanese sensation and we don't know if he'll put up the same numbers in the USA as he did in Japan, although, it sure looks like he can.

No, the Yankees aren't idiots, they will have their feelers out and the moment Yu announces he will not post this year, there will be a feeding frenzy on starting pitchers. Trust me...there will be movement in the Free Agent market, fast and furious. You will then see CJ Wilson getting serious offers, you'll see Mark Buehrle getting serious offers (Reports are 11 teams are looking at him seriously.) The point is, if Yu's off the Christmas list, teams will move freely and they won't have to worry about counting their money and sitting on a ton of it for Yu Darvish.

Look, there's always a chance Yu Darvish posts, Lord knows I want him to, but we'll have to see on this one. My gut says that if he really wanted to post, he would have already...plain and simple.
