WHAT TO EXPECT THIS YEAR

Click HERE and listen to Jay-Z and Swiss Beatz "On to the Next One", as in...On to the Next Yankee Championship, as you read what to EXPECT this year.
1. EXPECT Swish to have a solid spring and the most relaxed we've ever seen him. After all, the Bronx Elvis has made his mark on the Big Apple and we love him for it.

2. EXPECT Russell Martin to pop early and squash the haters as he puts his bad "distraction" years in LA behind him. This guys for real, he just needs focus...he'll get that in the Bronx...he just needs to want it. Let's hope that hip isn't a problem.

3. EXPECT Cano to lead the way. He's developing into a leader on this ball club. Unfortunately we had to sacrifice Melky to do it. The Yanks stuck with talent, now their getting back on their investment.

4. EXPECT AJ Burnett to fight his way back. We all know he's got it in him. If he was to turn 10-15 around and goes 15-10, Yankeeland would be thrilled. It's doable.

5. EXPECT RaSo to prove he's the real deal behind Mariano. Chemistry is key and Rivera may be getting old, but his team comes first and he leading the charge for Soriano to come to the Bronx showed pride. This 1, 2 punch will be the best in baseball in 2011.
6. EXPECT A-Rod to show MVP numbers like he's putting on a clinic. His numbers are still great and minus the hip, there will be no slowing down. A-Rod's finally comfortable in his own skin. It's what we all wanted for him.

7. EXPECT Freddy Garcia to emerge as a candidate for comeback player of the year. If he stays healthy, this wild card could prove extremely valuable in this 4th or 5th hole. We're about to be Wowed.
8. EXPECT Ivan Nova to show flashes of greatness this year. The talent is there, he'll harness it mid season and never look back.

9. EXPECT Andruw Jones to prove he still has something left in the tank and in the field. If he gets his at-bats, Jones will be a monster, he just needs consistency at the plate for it to happen.

10. EXPECT Derek Jeter to bounce back like he was never gone. He knows he has the tools and he knows last year was a fluke. The Captain has never showed failure and he damn sure won't in 2011. After all, it's just not the Yankee way.

What surprises do you think will happen this season? Let me know.
