The Cardinals needed someone like Paul Goldschmidt and the Arizona Diamondbacks are in rebuilding mode. It's the perfect combination.  Was Goldschmidt every really considered for the New York Yankees? No. No way.  It's rumor and it's all BS.

While the Sox didn't sign Eovaldi yet... a deal is very close and that means another free agent off the table. Which begs the question... Brian Cashman where are you? Trying to nail down Dallas Keuchel I hope.
