THIS YANKEE TEAM IS SOMETHING ELSE!

Even when the Red Sox took the lead and made it 6-5... for some reason, I wasn't nervous.  The Yankees are a great team, with great young players and an energy that has woken up a fan base longing for a team like this for a long, long time.  And just when you thought Brett Gardner was done, he crushes a 2 run triple.

Confidence runs deep with this club.  Energy runs deep.  Guys like Neil Walker.  Gleyber Torres.  Mixed in with alittle Giancarlo Stanton... and Aaron Judge.  A passion to win... yeah... these are our New York Yankees.

The New York Daily News writes:

"With the sold-out crowd of 47,088 screaming "Let's go Yankees!" and the Bombers trailing by one run, Brett Gardner socked a Craig Kimbrel 97-mph fastball into center field, a two-run triple that pushed the Yankees ahead of Boston by a run.

Aaron Judge then blasted his ninth home run of the season, a two-run shot, leading to bedlam in the Bronx before Yankee closer Aroldis Chapman finished off Boston in the wild 9-6 win Wednesday night."

I was unimpressed but usually very impressed by Craig Kimbrel. Last night, there was nothing there, almost like he was hoping his beard would do the work.
He didn't look good... that, or our Yankee team was just kick ass and way too overpowering.  It was pretty amazing.

In the end, another win for the New York Yankees and another streak we have not seen in a team like this in years.  We will cool off... that's just reality.  But this club has something special working in their favor.  It's the perfect combination of youth and veterans, and a will to win so strong... they may just be unbreakable.

As a Yankee fan, this reminds me a lot of 1998 all over again.

Go Yanks.
