"FREE AGENCY WAS A FACTOR"

Nice little nugget from Meredith Marakovits on the Aroldis Chapman 30 day suspension, read HERE and him deciding not to appeal.

Now the whole free agency thing is very interest.  Bottom line, the way the suspension breaks down, Chapman will now be a free agent after the seeason. 

If it didn't, he would stay a Yankee.  Even Yankee fans and BYB readers know how this works.  Gotta love it. Check this out:

For now, Chapman stays at Spring Training, works out with the team, and then is suspended during the regular season for 30 games.  He returns on Mother's Day weekend.  That's the irony here... right Ike Dimitriadis?
