We wrote about Chris Young and the Yankees talking about a new contract earlier today when we wrote: CHRIS YOUNG COULD BE BACK IN PINSTRIPES. To be honest, we just didn't know how close they were.
Indications are, and this is coming from Sweeny Murti, that the deal is done, pending a physical:
Yankees have a deal to bring back OF Chris Young pending physical. That last month with NYY made strong impression both ways.

So the Yanks are nailing down the easy ones right now and then they'll perhaps work on a few high profile free agents next. Whatever the case, you have to assume there are no issues with Young and he'll be a done deal in a week or so after his physical.
