According to USA Today:
"New York Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka has been placed on the disabled list with a sore elbow, the club announced Wednesday."
As you already know, Tanaka was headed to New York for an MRI. We just wrote about it in, PUNCHED IN THE GUT: TANAKA TO GET MRI.
As Tanaka said of his recent struggles, "I do understand the reason why I was struggling... but it's really difficult for me to tell you why that was." Well, now we know.
Losing CC Sabathia was a blow. Losing Ivan Nova was as well. Michael Pineda could have been something special, but no longer... we're still waiting. Now Masahiro Tanaka hits the DL.
Well, we do have original starter Hiroki Kuroda...
