BELTRAN WILL POWER ON...

According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, Carlos Beltran will make a hard attempt to battle through the pain of his bone spur in his elbow and play.  Basically it means, no surgery... for now at least:
Look, there are 2 thoughts on this; For 1, Beltran is being a tough guy and will play through it and you tip your cap but as we have seen so many times before when athletes try and be the hero... they end up more hurt than before.  We need to keep a close eye on this.   The second part of the thinking is, "Hey Beltran, just get it take care of bro! Whatever man, we'll be here when you're healed!"

And that brings me to the final point (I know, I said 2, sue me.) If he can't hit, as he told Feinsand, that will change him powering through it and surgery will in fact then take place.  What's the test? He will try and hit and swing a bat on Monday.

In other words...
