AROD & THE CIRCUS HAS A NEW TWIST

The first week of the Alex Rodriguez appeals ended on Friday. The week ended with a whirl of activity with ARod filing a lawsuit against the MLB for interference in the investigations, and a medical malpractice suit against Yankees physician Christopher Ahmad.

According to an article in ESPN, by Wallace Matthews (HERE), the appeals will be put on hold until October 15th. The reason? Arbitrator Fredric Horowitz is busy. Apparently he has other commitments that take priority, and will be busy until at least the 14th of this month. ARod's legal team had just started cross examining Anthony Bosch, who led the Biogenesis clinic in Florida. I get it. Horowitz has a headache from all the crazy surrounding this case. He's going to take a nice long vacation. Sip some mojitos on the beach, and unwind or something. I kid, I kid.

Horowitz was hearing testimony in an effort to decide the fairness of the 211 game suspension MLB handed down to ARod. Once the hearing is over, he will have 25 days to uphold, overturn, or alter the suspension.

To get up to speed... read our other spots on ARod since the appeal began:
