JR MURPHY IS MOVING ON UP

This is great news and I just wanted to report it to you because this is a kid that I believed would be next in line if Jesus Montero didn't work out as catcher. Sure Austin Romine is a nice idea, but he hasn't done what many expected with.... 2 words... JR Murphy.

It's being reported HERE on YESNetwork.com that Murphy was promoted to AAA.  Lou DiPietro writes: "Murphy, the organization's No. 15 overall prospect entering the season according to Baseball America, was informed of his promotion by Thunder manager Tony Franklin following Wednesday night's game, with the move officially announced via a RailRiders press release sent out Thursday afternoon....  Murphy should take over as the everyday catcher in Scranton, and with him now in Triple-A, that could clear room for the organization's top overall prospect, catcher Gary Sanchez - who was hitting .276 with 10 homers and 44 RBI at Tampa through Wednesday - to be moved up to Trenton very soon."

All of this is great.  Then, once there is movement, we can finally see Sanchez develop more too on the higher levels.  You gotta love this. Personally, I do.
