UPDATE HECTOR CAMACHO PRONOUNCED DEAD

10:13am 11-23: FROM THE LOS ANGELES TIMES (HERE): "He was taken off life support after suffering injury outside a bar in Puerto Rico...Camacho was pronounced dead today, after being shot in the head four days earlier  while seated in a car outside a bar in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.   Camacho’s condition deteriorated before his family opted to take him off life support."

11:04pm 11-21: FROM SPORTING NEWS (HERE): " The family of Hector "Macho" Camacho tried to decide Wednesday whether he should be removed from life support after a shooting in his Puerto Rican hometown left the former boxing champion clinging to life and his fans mourning the loss of a dynamic and often troubled athlete. "

7:58 AM 11-21: REUTERS REPORTS (HERE): Camacho, 50, was a passenger in a vehicle fired on by unknown gunmen in the Bayamon region of the island, just southwest of the capital, San Juan, according to reports in El Nuevo Herald and El Nuevo Dia.

I just read this story and it's unfolding as we speak.  There are conflicting reports but hopefully there will be a confirmation soon enough.  Hector "Macho" Camacho Sr. has been reportedly shot in Puerto Rico.  This is coming from multiple sources. Read HERE. He's in critical condition.

I know, I know this is a Yankees fan site, but this is also a human life and Camacho was part of my youth. I remember watching him on TV and thinking how he was such a bad ass.  He was a damn good boxer. Sure, he's had some trouble with the law recently, but I'm very curious what happened that would get the man shot. Look, if there's an update, we will bring it to you. Thanks for understanding.
