WHY NOVA WILL BE READY FOR NEXT START

Rest, alittle rehab and ready? That seems to be the reasoning to why Ivan Nova will be on track to pitch when it comes to his turn in the rotation.  Thank God.  I was seriously concerned about this, especially with our rotation in such disarray due to inconsistency and losses due to lack of offense.

According to Chad Jennings at the Journal News, read HERE, "Ivan Nova threw roughly 25 pitches in the bullpen today. He also simulated coming off the mound to cover first base. Although he said he still felt something in his ankle — 'A little bit,' he said, holding his fingers very close together — Nova is convinced he’ll be ready to start on Saturday with no trouble pushing off that sprained ankle. 'If I can push, I can pitch,' he said."

Joe Girardi also stated that the real test comes at warm ups as late as Saturday. There is always a chance Nova doesn't feel right and  they hold him a start.  We'll have to stay tuned for that but Nova knows his body, hopefully he'll be ready to go.  I'm looking forward to it, the game will be against the Cincinnati Reds.
